| Hello and Welcome to our amateur photography website, please feel free to view our photos and don't forget to leave some comments.
Most of these images were obtained using either a Canon EOS 50D or EOS 400D Digital SLR camera with a range of lenses from 18 - 400mm focal length, or a Canon IXUS 120 IS compact camera.
For Astrophotography the telescopes used were a Skywatcher Evostar 80ED Pro Refractor and a home built 222mm / f5.8 Newtonian telescope mounted on a Skywatcher HEQ5 Pro SynScan German Equatorial Mount (GEM). Previously I used a Skywatcher EQ5 SynScan mount and a Tal-2M 150mm/f8 Newtonian telescope. Telescope guiding is by a QHY5 guide camera and an old 400mm camera lens as a guidescope, Latest additions are two Phillips SPC900NC webcams for Lunar and Planetary imaging. One is a standard webcam with lens removed, nosepiece and UV/IR blocking filter added, the other is modified, cooled and rehoused. Also image added of new USB hub which is mounted on the HEQ5 Pro allowing a single USB lead to connect all the equipment on the mount pictures of the setup in the Astronomy / Equipment section.
